Soil 23 is a Christian clothing brand made to glorify God and spread the truth of Jesus in this broken world. Culturally, its artistry is an influence of a So-Cal style; Street art, skater, punk rock & hip-hop.
It’s new, slick and fits into a modern art style, however it’s a message of truth and hope for the working man, working women, the youth. Any believer in Jesus Christ can rock this gear and share the gospel anywhere.
The Name
“Soil 23” comes from a bible scripture.
“But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” -Matthew 13:23
These are red words (Jesus talking). Jesus is teaching his disciples about the different ways of hearing God’s word, and either applying it, living it, or letting the world and the devil take it from you, and you fall away from the truth. These are called the 4 soils. Verse 23 is the 4th soil: the best one, the way you hear God’s word and fully apply it, without falling away.
S.23 Logo
The S.23. This is a giant letter S, but the top of it is a staff, and the bottom under the 3 is a rod. In the bible, Jesus is called our good shepherd. Just like with sheep, Jesus pulls us back in from falling away with the staff, and he corrects our unrighteous behavior with a loving nudge, using the rod.
Meet The Creator
My name is Eric. I’m from Orange County, California. I used to be addicted to drugs and alcohol for years. Today I’ve been sober since 2018, I went to AA and God used that to get me clean. 2 years in, I met Jesus and started going to church. I learned the bible and Christianity. Jesus put a calling on my life. He healed me of my addictions, pain, and sins. Christ saved me and brought me into his kingdom to be a productive sober member of society. I love serving God and others, especially sharing the Gospel with people who are unsaved. In 2021, I started messing around making custom shirts and hats for fun. Mostly punk rock band patches or automotive racing logos.
Then I got this idea to make my own logos about Jesus. I met my business partner who built this website. He introduced me to a graphic design program to make my logos look great and the e-commerce business method. We’ve been building this brand together ever since. God is so, so good, he gave me this outlet to share about Jesus and put my art into the world. Since then, I’ve been able to grow the brand into a podcast show, a solo video show and now I’m doing Christian rap with new music out called S.2-3 Music.
